With every "Right" we claim there is an accompanying Responsibility.|
The first and not the very least of these is the responsibility to respect the Rights of others.
Yet, with these people that voice "It's my Right!!!", I have never heard them voice, "It's my responsibility . . .":
Your Rights and Responsibilities are inseparable, that is,
if you claim your Right then you also claim (accept) your responsibility.
We each have the Right to enjoy good health.
We each have the Right to an environment free from contamination.
(including contamination by disease due to the selfish likes of "Typhoid Mary").
Although she didn't feel ill, she spread the disease everywhere she worked, causing Typhoid hotspots.
She also ignored advice and requests to control the spread the disease, until finally, action was taken to contain the contamination by quarantining her for the last 20+ years of her life.
Mary Mallon (September 23, 1869 – November 11, 1938), also known as Typhoid Mary, was an Irish-born cook believed to have infected 53 people with typhoid fever, three of whom died.
As a healthy carrier of Salmonella typhi her nickname of “Typhoid Mary” had become synonymous with the spread of disease, as many were infected due to her denial of being ill. When authorities figured out that her work as a cook had caused the city's typhoid outbreak, she was sent to North Brother Island for a three-year quarantine. She promised never to cook for others again. ...
When apprehended in 1915, she was sent back to the island for the rest of her life — 23 more years.
Don't be a "COVID Mary".G.
